Both of these sites are really easy to use and offer a wide range of benefits to use them but there are also drawbacks to using them. You could spend long hours slaving away at building your blog and then one day come back and it could be gone without any notice or reason but you have nothing to fight over since you never really owned it. With your own blog you will never have to deal with that, as long as you pay your hosting/domain fees then your blog will always be there for you and you have complete control over it. Also, if you start to make money from your free blogs and want to transfer over to your own blog then it can get complicated, Blogger has a nice feature which allows you to host your blog on your own domain but you still don’t have complete control over your blog. If you don’t have to worry about these things then the free blogs are the way to go so you can get your feet wet and start understanding how to better work your blogs before you make a commitment to have your own self hosted blog.
Using free blogs can really help you when you first start out trying to make money from blogging and they are a great way to gain some experience, but they aren’t the best way to go once you are really serious about making money from blogging. The best way is to host your own WordPress blog on your own domain and hosting so that you have complete control over every little aspect of your blog. The sooner you start your own blog the better it will be and it will give you a very professional look because you are more trustworthy then you would be with a free blog. Once you can afford it, get your own blog, and get working on succeeding online with blogs.
